How do you write a good introduction paragraph?

I am always struggling with writing the introduction paragraph for any essay that I have to write for my class. I have no idea why it's so difficult for me but it just doesn't flow smoothly and I always have to rewrite it like five times. Do you know of anything to help with this? Is there a good outline for introduction essays you can send me in order to fix this problem? I feel like I spend the same amount of time on the introduction as the entirety of the rest of the paper.
